What sort of bands have Student Activities booked before?
Some of them include Explosions in the Sky, Lost in the Trees, Spirits of the Red City, Mal Blum, Lower Dens, The Ettes, Cutthroat Shamrock, Lycans, DIIV, and some others. There’s also been student bands like Rosalind and Arlo, but they graduated this semester.
So you get to choose your seminar?! (I apologize for spamming this page so much. I'm crazy excited.)
So here’s how it works. You’re going to get something like a quiz to take online and it’s going to give you the names and descriptions of each FYS and Comp course. Then you’re going to rate it by how interested you are in them—very interested, sort of interested, not at all interested, the like. Then they will do their best to give you your first choices.
And don’t apologize! We love to answer questions and we’re glad that you’re so excited. Ask away, my little Owlet.
I wish there was a pre-orientation consisting of wilderness survival only. All the freshmen, living in the woods for a few days, with a few people to help us avoid getting mauled by bears.
In the past, there have been First Year Seminars that required you to come a week or a few days early and do this! If you have not gotten the questionnaire about your First Year Seminars or Composition courses (it will be online to determine your placement) then don’t fret, it will happen soon enough.
Will there be another glitter night next year??
There can be! We won’t start planning the craft nights until much closer to the fall, but if you have any ideas on what you want to happen, let us know and we’ll do our best.
if glitter is the herpes of art supplies then student activities is the craft whore of work crews
Uh, thanks? I think.
